Just in the Daugava estuary, on the shores of the Baltic Sea two streams of goods met - from
West - to the Eastern countries and from East - to Europe and Scandinavia. The Daugava trading route was used already
in the second millennium B.C. for the local communication needs, but it became international at the beginning of
the sixth century A.D.
The Riga Shipyard deepwater wharfs are located in one of the Daugava channels, well protected from winds. Favourable
weather conditions and practically non-freezing port allow to carry out repair works all year round. Yard's own tugboats.
The yard water area allows vessels of any type to maneuver and to carry out repair works of any complexity alongside the
wharfs and completely equipped repair berths up to 8 meters in depth. Shore cranes up to SWL 32 tons,

The Yard capable to accept PANAMAX size vessels for drydocking, AFRAMAX size vessels - for afloat repairs.
