Conversion

RIGA SHIPYARD performs conversion including lengthening, modernizations, refurbishment et cetera of different types of vessels.

RIGA SHIPYARD has an extensive experience in carrying out of ship conversion works of different complexity and volume.

Among the last conversion projects are the conversion of Swedish cement carrier included lengthening with 2 hull inserts 7.5m and 4.5m in length and conversion of Icelandic stern trawler “Hannover” included lengthening with 18m long hull insert weighting 450 tons.

Both projects required a wide scope of steel, mechanical, piping, electrical, blasting and painting works as well as the installation of new machinery.
